Was there something in the air last Wednesday??? I'm still trying to work it out.....
Everything changed.
Let's start with the morning feed. This time it came from a bottle! Mum and Dad have decided to start giving me the occasional feed of expressed milk from a bottle to give them a bit of flexibility. Maybe that should read - The new Harry Potter movie is about to come out and mum & dad want to ditch me with someone so that they can go!!!! We'll be having words about that....
Then mum whipped me into this blue harness thing (baby bjorn) and off we went to mother's group. Usually she takes me in my Bed-On-Wheels (stroller), but this new method was okay. At least it meant I got cuddles for hours!
While we were out and about mum took me out for lunch and then shopping. Fabulous...I loved it! I got two new pairs of pants and some new bunny-shaped shoes. Mum was worried about my feet getting cold hanging out of the baby bjorn but you don't need an excuse to buy shoes I say! Check them out in the piccie....they're pretty cool :)
While one day can blur into the next when there is a newborn in the house, we were shocked on receiving Elimena's birth certificate that what felt like weeks had only been a few days.
Who knows ... If Bianca's eagle eye hadn't noticed that BDM had made a data entry mistake on the birth certificate, it may have taken years of incorrect passports and documentation before we realised that Elimena really was born on May 9th, not May 19th.
Saturdays are becoming my favourite day of the week....
Dad is home - so I have two people running around after me!
...and I usually get to play with some family and friends too :)
Last Saturday I met Grandad....
....and Bronte....
....and had dinner with Matt, Emma, Peta & Blaine.
(Okay these piccies are from the hospital but the people are the same)
Talk about a fun day!
Then on Sunday, I was knackered. I am the "happy" one in the below piccies with the Cleary's - Leah, Matt & Nathaniel....
It wasn't all bad.....at least I got to meet Nate (what a spunk!). I can't believe that he is only six weeks older than me.
Sitting in the afternoon sun one day we noticed Elimena's head beating. This is simply the anterior fontanelle (a soft spot where the skull bones are still forming) that should close of it's own accord by about 15 months.

It's a slow start to the shoot, with Eli still recovering from the big day out.
Come on, no need to be coy...
Hmmm.... OK
Just let me think for a minute...
I know! Come on, sing along!
And show me more of those dance moves!
That's it, no more photos!!
I think we've used all our energy for today.

Grrrr....nose is blocked :(
Grrrr....can't breathe :(
Grrrr....can't eat properly :(
Just call me Snuffleupagus :(
P.S. Dad says it is good for building my immunity, but he would say that as he gave me my first cold!
well last Saturday was a real treat.....
We had lunch with Nanny Paul and Grand-Farmer at the Great Northern....so it meant that there was good company and then yummy Great Northern food for afternoon tea :)
....then my friend Becky dropped over to visit in the afternoon. Luckily she brought her parents (Eric & Maria) over to keep my olds busy....
...then in the evening I got to play with my cousin Emma at Grandpa's birthday dinner. (and see Grandma, Grandpa, Aunty Naomi, Aunty Becky and Uncle Steve)....
What a day! The best part was that I was knackered and fed at 9:20pm and then slept until 6am. Mum and Dad think I'm an angel!
Visiting the fish markets was the first in a small series of outings leading up to our attendence at Dave & Karie's engagement party.
I was so excited on the day that I couldn't sleep at all. But, then I crashed in the car on the way to Bilgola leaving me in a blissful, floppy sleep for the entire party. Mum and dad couldn't have been prouder!
Of course, from my perspective the party had all the perfect ingredients for sleep: a soft warm outfit, endless cuddles and lots of noise. Lucky for mum and dad I don't demand that every night ;)
