Bub-Bubs

At playcare we have been learning about bub-bubs. They have lots of toy bub-bubs, toy strollers and toy cots for us to play with. We've been having lots of fun!

Over the Labour Day long weekend, mum and I went to see three bub-bubs. We have a few friends with very new bub-bubs that we've been dying to catch up with so the long weekend seemed like a good opportunity.

We went to see Annelies (Notelaers). She's very cute (see photos below of me patting her). It was so exciting when she finally woke up that I starting jumping up and down.

We also went to see Molly and Oscar (Symons). They too did lots of sleeping. They are soooo lucky as they have puppies AND a trampoline. Unfortunately there was so much to do I forgot to take piccies to mark the occasion.

Mum was so proud of how gentle I was with the bub-bubs. But come-on! Who is going to get on the wrong side of someone with puppies and a trampoline?

@ 17 months

* I'm a climber. I can push things over next to the couch and climb up on them to get up. So now nothing in the house is safe! Mum will often come in and find me standing on the table...she doesn't seem to understand that this is the best place to dance?
* Mum can give me one pigtail on top...which is a bit '80s but I put up with it to keep her happy! (see piccie left)
* I have weeks where I am a hungry hippo and other times when I'm not so into food. When I am hungry I will pretty much eat anything.
* I love animals. I particularly love birds and Charlie the golden-retriever next door. Mum and I have been having fun making the noises to go along with each animal in the 100 animals book that dad gave me before he went overseas.
* I love that while lying in bed in the morning that I can hear birds out the window. They sure have a lot to say because they are chattering at a hundred miles an hour.
* I become a better helper every day :) I like to bring mum her shoes when I think it is time we went outside :)
* I've got loads of new words and my favourite sound is "b". Can't every word have a "b" on the front?

Crazy Hair Daze

P.S. Mum is still not sure what colour eyes I (am going to) have...so they must be blue/green/grey/hazel like dads!

Finally I have proof!

Mum was the celebrant at the wedding.
Dad was the MC at the reception.
Does that mean I live in a family of directors? dictators? or control freaks?

Finally I have proof of the hard life I live and just maybe I might get some sympathy???

Professional flower girl?

Mum was very excited to be the celebrant officiating the wedding.
If mum is going to do more and more of these celebrant gigs - I wonder how I can swaggle an invite?
Do you think I could become a professional flower girl?
Think of all the prety dresses I would get to wear :)

Aunty Nai & Uncle Josh tied the knot - literally...

Mum and dad went to Aunty Naomi and Uncle Josh's wedding on Sunday night. (See here for when Nai told me the news and here for the engagement party). The wedding sounded just like a beautiful fairytale. Particularly the part about dancing under the stars and fairy-lights in the courtyard. They said they had a great time :)

Part of the ceremony included a hand-fastening ceremony performed by the mothers of the bride and groom. So they literally tied the knot....he he he :)

Below is a piccie. Hopefully Aunty Nai won't mind me sharing it with you...

Meanwhile I got to spend the afternoon/evening with Uncle Jus. It was cool. Mum and Dad called it baby-sitting (I hate that word) but I call it partying. We had a blast. We chased the birds. We patted Charlie (the golden-retriever next door). We played lots of fun games. It's great having Uncle Jus around lots. Who else wants to get married so I can spend another night partying with Uncle Jus?
